Asante Kotoko bags GHS233,932 from GHS 726,380 record gate proceeds from Hearts
Accra Hearts of Oak took from the record gate proceeds earned from Sunday’s match with Asante Kotoko a total of GHS361.448 home.
It reflects about 50 percent of GHS 726,380’s overall gate proceeds realized as gate proceeds from the match between Ghana’s two most glamorous clubs. Asante Kotoko also took GHS233,932 of the proceeds home, which accounted for about 32%.
The Ghana Football Association also took home GHS51,000.00 while GHS80,000.00 was pocketed by the National Sports Authority as their share of the money.
The second-biggest gate proceeds recorded in the history of Ghana football was the GHS 639, 000 obtained from the match between Asante Kotoko and Cotonsport of Cameroon in the CAF Confederation Cup in 2019.
