The Bachelor of Science degree program in Dietetics is a useful and practical area of study for scholars interested in health conservation and rehabilitation through the science of nutrition.
Physiological, biological, and behavioural sciences give the foundation for a wide range of studies applicable to community, clinical, private practice, and operation aspects of nutrition in health care.
You’ll develop human relationship skills and expertise in addressing nutritive requirements for human growth and development throughout the life cycle. Physiological, biological, and behavioral sciences provide the foundation for a wide range of studies applicable to the the management of nutrition in health care.
Upon completion of the specified course of study, scholars are qualified for entry-level careers in community, clinical, consultative dietetics, and foodservice operation positions in business, health care, and industry.
Minimum/General Entry Requirements for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) :
GHANA WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants
Core: Credit passes in English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science & Social Studies
Electives: Credit passes in Chemistry, Physics and either Biology or Elective Mathematics
WASSCE/SSSCE RESULTS FROM THE WEST AFRICAN SUB-REGION
Core: Credit passes in English, Core Mathematics and a Science subject
Electives: Credit passes in Three (3) Electives comprising Chemistry, Physics and either Biology or Further Mathematics
American High School Grade 12
For International Applicants and Ghanaians with Foreign Background)
An applicant for admission to a degree programme in the University of Ghana must have a Final Grade Point of at least 3.0
GCE (Cambridge) – ‘A’ Levels
Applicants must have three relevant subjects at the Cambridge ‘A’ Levels.
In addition, they must have at least five (5) passes including English and Mathematics at the Cambridge ‘O’ Level.
Three (3) ‘A’ Level subjects comprising Chemistry, Physics and either Biology or Mathematics
International Baccalaureate (IB)
The University of Ghana welcomes applications from students who follow the IB Diploma Programme and meet the following College requirements. Admissions will be to Level 100.
Applicants must have at least Grade 5 in Chemistry, and either Biology or Physics at the Higher Level.
In addition, applicants must have at least grade 4 in English Language/Literature (SL) and Mathematics SL and at least grade C for the third science at the IGCSE or equivalent.
