Forever Hitmaker GYAKIE makes it to Times Square and partners with spotify
Gyakie, a fast-rising Ghanaian female vocalist, performer, songwriter, and Afrobeat sensation, is the first African woman to join Spotify’s EQUAL initiative according to Hypeghnewsroom.com
Spotify is one of the largest, if not the largest, global music streaming platforms, and it was only recently launched in Ghana after years of lobbying.
EQUAL is a Spotify platform that aims to promote equality for women in the music industry. It was released on April 29, 2021 under the name EQUAL Music Program and featured an inaugural class of 35 women in the music industry from around the world, in which Gyakie was able to make the list.
