Joseph Paintsil grabs brace to rescue draw for Ankaragucu against Besiktas

Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil was in good form on Friday night in the Turkish Superliga as he salvaged a draw for his side Ankaragucu.

His side secured a 2-2 draw away from home at the home grounds of Besiktas at the Vodafone Park.

Joseph Paintsil scored a brace as he converted two penalty kicks the last in the dying minutes of the game to get his side a share of the spoils.

It was a tale of two braces in the game with all four goals in the game been scored by Ankaragucu players.

Ante Kulusic scored his first own goal in four minutes of added time in the first half before completing his brace of won goals three minutes after the start of the second half.

It was a lucky break for Besiktas as none of their players had scored a goal but they were leading 2-0 against Ankaragucu.

The Ghanaian winger reduced the deficit with his first penalty goal in the 65th minute to make the scores 2-1.

He made the comeback complete with another penalty in the third minute of added time to save his side a point.

Paintsil did not last the full duration of the game as he was substituted in the 94th minute for Sahverdi Cetin.

The 23 year old Ghanaian on loan from Belgium side Genk has scored 9 goals in his 28 game outings for Ankaragucu in his debut season.
