*The MEGBORNA Concert*.

Scheduled for 30th November, 2019, The MEGBORNA Concert promises to be an evening of intimate session with the Spoken Word Artiste himself. This power-packed event will
Kick off at exactly 5:05pm at the Africa Hall-Dining Hall.

Since 2015, Megborna has been active in the Spoken Word scene in Ghana. From stages at the National Theatre, Conference center, universities, corporate world and private sessions, performing for prominent individuals and presidents and to you our cherished KNUST students, Megborna has been three tedx platforms; TEDxAccra 2016, TEDxAfariwaa 2016 & TEDxKNUST. He’s shared stages with former President Jerry John Rawlings, state ministers, Anass Aremeyaw Anass, and many prominent Individuals.
At the 2018 Ghana Literary Awards, Megborna won second place in the Spoken Word category.
With an album (Agoo-2017) and a couple of singles to his credit (7 singles) to his credit, an album (Megborna, his second studio album) a couple EP’s and singles yet to be released, MEGBORNA is just getting started.
His recent spoken word animation video, ALKEBULAN won best animation at the just ended Accra Indie Film Festival, though yet to be officially released. And yes, there’s a game developed out of this Spoken Word piece, ALKEBULAN accessible on google play store.

The MEGBORNA Concert is the first time the Spoken Word Artiste is having a major solo show, after having hosted his second album (MEGBORNA album) listening and 180 Minutes Of Poetry Or Something Like That, both in 2018.

Guest Artistes:
The event will also see Hashmullah, a poet, guitarist and a musician (one of the pacesetters and proponents of modern spoken word in Ghana). His stage craft will keep you glued to your seat and eyes fixated on him till his done.
Another Guest Artiste is Black Ocean, whose style of Spoken he calls African Dub Poetry. His energy and stage craft is a sight to behold.
Among the guest acts is Dwomoh, one of the talented comedians to crack the ribs of Ghanaians with laughter. His comedy unlike many others is laced with deep reflections and a conscious attempt to ease his audience of the harshness of this world.

Other supporting acts include
Jah Bullet a fired up, Vibrant dancehall energy rising wild and fast in Ghana capturing the heart of many university students especially KNUST.
WhoIsDayDzi is one to never take for granted on stage. With is Bienology, there’s no word you’d mention that create poetry out of, seen by many as second only to Sir Black (Kojo Yibor Kojo) one of Spoken word’s grand papas in Ghana and master freestyler of words into rhymes and poetry on stage, and a strong mentor to all the young Spoken Word artistes including Megborna himself.
Fafanyo The Pryme will also be holding the fort down. How can there be a Spoken Word invasion on campus with without the Optimus Pryme of Spoken Word? Fafanyo The Pryme is one to always look out for during any major Spoken Word events.
Our final supporting act is Rebirth, who rebirthed himself in music, a deep rapper, great musician and what could be the next big voice to hit Ghana music and beyond.
