Though I trained as a chemist, my new role is more non-traditional, it has little to no chemistry at play. However, my knowledge in chemistry was a feather in my cup during my interview,” he said.
“The company was looking for a candidate with expertise in Data Analytics which I had. Albeit, my prior knowledge in chemistry made them kill two birds with one stone” Kankam added. According to the successful young man, a point came when he wondered whether the Chemistry degree he had was a complete waste when he started learning Data Analytics. However, Kwasi Kankam mentions that his new role has taught him that knowledge is actually never wasted, as it was all worth it in the end.
