Master Enoch Kwarteng after a successful year of serving as The SRC Vice President 2018/2019 Academic year reports
In pursuance of a more focused, efficient, and reliable SRC, in my tenure of office as the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science And Technology Vice SRC President was indeed a challenging one but yet still regardless, I stood my grounds to serve the people of KNUST diligently and with honour as was bestowed unto me. Being a medical student at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital was a great opportunity for me to increase the involvement of the clinical students situated at KATH into the main campus activities.
The first of my achievement as the Vice SRC President was the initiation of free medical services at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. After a series of meetings between myself the health director of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science And Technology, the medical director of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and the CEO of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and with the support from the Office of The Dean of Students of KNUST, an offering of free medical service at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for students of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science And Technology will inaugurate God willingly next academic semester. Also, since the establishment of the medical students association – KATH JCR, there has never been an inclusion of the JCR representatives that is, the president and the secretary in the proceedings of the SRC Parliamentary Council, but due to strong advocacy, the KATH JCR president and secretary have now been represented on the Council, and for this matter, I would acknowledge the leadership of the Speaker of the SRC Parliamentary Council, Rt. Honourable Sasu Kissi Benjamin for his magnanimous support and making the process a smooth one, indeed his exquisite leadership could never be
Furthermore, to lighten up entertainment and fulfil the saying that, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, a night of live band performances was organized by the SRC at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for the clinical students. To conclude, I would like to quote a saying of Henry David Thoreau, “what you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals”, I will encourage the upcoming leadership of the KNUST SRC and the MSA – KATH to be steadfast and assiduous in serving the good people of KNUST and the clinical students of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
God bless MSA – KATH.
God bless KNUST SRC.
God bless KNUST.
