On 25th February, a communique was released by the KNUST Academic Board Secretary and Deputy Registrar (Academic Affairs), Mrs. Margaret Dzisi after an academic board meeting concerning the challenges students faced having their biometric registration. Some new developments were instituted as outcome of the meeting thereof:
1) Biometric Registration should be conducted throughout the semester.
2) A registration point should be opened once every week at the UITS office, to give students who are unable to register at the beginning of the semester the opportunity to do so.
3) All students will henceforth, be required to carry out biometric registration twice in a semester. These are
a) Before mid-semester examination and;
b) Before end of semester examination
Online course registration will be carried out within a designated period, prior to the commencement of each semester, till the first week of reopening.
Students are entreated to embrace this new development and exercise them accordingly. The new development took immediate effect upon its release.
