Watch Shocking Photos of A Mystery Tree That Bears Fruits In A Shape Of A Women
A strange tree in Thailand appears to bear fruit in the form of a young woman, which has the internet baffled.
However, while many people are awestruck by the form of the green fruits, others are less persuaded by the jumbled video.
In Buddhist mythology, the Nariphon tree, which is said to grow in the mythical Himaphan forest, bears the fruit of young female creatures.
The fruits are the reserves of supernatural beings according to the Buddhist narratives.
The story goes that Buddhist God Indra built a home in the forest for his wife Vessantara and his two children
But when Vessantara went out into the forest to collect food, she was in danger of being attacked by terrifying male creatures.
Indra then created 12 special Nariphon trees which would bear fruit in his wife’s image to distract the creatures while she picked her own food.
The men would take these fruits back to their homes and after making love to them would sleep for four months, and lose their powers.
The narrative continues that the trees bear fruit daily in the said forest until the world loses Buddha’s teachings when the forest and the tree will both vanish. It is believed that the fruits have all human organs except bones, they are endowed with magical powers and have very good singing and dancing abilities.
According to Thai folklore, after Indra and his wife died, the trees continued to bear fruit.
It is believed two pods have been kept in a Buddhist temple near Bangkok to date. Replica of the fruit is common in Thai Buddhist temples and are sold for their mystical powers.
Gifts inspired by the Nariphon girls are now sold widely throughout Thailand, leading to many hoaxes.
