On Sunday,November 17th 2019, three students with names; Beatrice Gyampo, Nyarko Emmanuel Amo and Prosper Junior Anatsui from the University of Health and Allied Sciences-Ho defyed all odds by placing tops together with other 4 teams in the UNICEF Generation Unlimited youth Challenge organized by UNICEF, Ministry of Education, UNDP, PLAN Ghana and Ecobank. Generation Unlimited Youth challenge is a youth challenge organized by UNICEF in 46 countries worldwide to get youths within the ages of 14- 23 design working solutions for the developing world.

After making it through a selection process which had about 400 applications received across the country, the team from the Volta region made it through to the top 15 competing teams. After a 3-day intense bootcamp centered on Human centered thinking and designing feasible sustainable solutions, the team tagged Team ETATI(Empowered to achieve the Impossible) came up as one of the top teams with the most brilliant promising idea. Led by Prosper Junior Anatsui, the team focused on providing self employment opportunities for cured lepers in the Ho Municipality who for several years have lives dependent on donations from organizations and well meaning individuals.

The team, together with other four teams will be given seed funding to start their project and mentoring for a period of 16 weeks after which the most promising solution will be presented to a global judging process outside Ghana in June 2020 for the battle of a 20,000USD project funding.
