One of the lecturers bungalows on UDS Nyankpala campus caught fire in the early afternoon hours of Saturday 19th, ,January, 2020.
According to our reporter, the fire was set up by some natives living around the bungalow area in their bid to catch game which made the fire to escalate to the lecturers bungalows.
But for not the shift intervention of the fire service and the security men at post, the fire would have burnt the other bungalows around.
The good news is that no lecturer stays in the bungalow that was gutted by fire so no casualty was recorded
A piece of news available to us also shows that, the campus storeroom also got burnt as a result of bush burning by the same natives of the community.
Our editorial question is, should authorities wait for things to get out of hand before they will beef up security?
