Video: Referee Chased From The Field During UG and UDS Football Match

Aggrieved students from the University of Ghana chased out a center referee during their football match with the University for Development Studies at the ongoing GUSA games on 14, January, 2020.

According to our reporter, he was chased after punishing the University of Ghana player by giving him a card for his ‘silly’ tackle on his opponent.

Some students of the University of Ghana who got angry with the referee’s decision decided to put the law into their own hands by engaging in an act of hooliganism.

It took some key administrators from the University and the University security to restore calm before the referee accepted to be on the field toĀ  continue the game.

Meanwhile, UG won the match on penalties by 5:4 after it ended in a one goal each draw.

We hope investigations will be carried so perpetrators will be punished for the GUSA games to always have the beauty and the fun it carries.
